Dr. Aitiani graduated in Medicine and specialized in Cardiology at the University of Siena. He served as staff physician for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases at the Azienda Ospedaliera-Universitaria Senese, teaches cardiology at the School of Specialization in Cardiology of the School of Medicine in Siena, and is a contract professor at “Le Scotte” Policlinico in Siena. He is a member of the Italian Society of Cardiology (SIC), the Italian Society of Cardiovascular Ultrasound (SIEC), and the Italian Sports Medical Federation (FMSI). He is author and co-author of many cardiology publications in national and international scientific journals. He has attended numerous courses, conferences, national and international workshops, also as a speaker.
Dr. Bartolucci graduated in Medicine and specialized in Anesthesia and Critical Care at the University of Florence. He has attended numerous national congresses and courses, as speaker and teacher on various medical-scientific topics with a special focus on anesthesia and critical care.
Dr. Bonelli graduated in Speech Therapy and Rehabilitation at Tor Vergata University of Rome. Her focus are speech disorders, both verbal and written, in all ages (children, adults and elderly). She has participated in numerous conferences and training courses, also as a speaker.
Dr. Bonino is professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Pisa, senior associate researcher at the Istituto di Biostrutture e Bioimmagini (IBB) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR), and an hepatologist at UPMC Institute for Health Chianciano Terme. He has held many institutional positions and is a member of scientific committees of several national and international research institutes. He contributed to the discovery of the three major hepatitis viruses causing chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis and hepato-carcinoma (HBsAg defective hepatitis B virus, HCV and HDV). His main current research focus areas are: personalized care; multi-parametric ultrasound measurement of liver fat as an index of general and nutritional health and treatment efficacy; multi-systemic study of the intestinal microbiota integrating metagenomic, metabolomic and immunometric methods.
Dr. Cameli is specialized in Diseases of the Respiratory System, and is a research fellow at the Respiratory Diseases and Lung Transplant Unit at AOUS, University of Siena, and a PhD student in Genetics, Oncology and Clinical Medicine (GENOMEC) at the University of Siena. He is a member of the Italian Society of Pulmunology (SIP) and of the European Respiratory Society (ERS). His scientific research focuses on the identification and validation of biomarkers of diagnostic and prognostic value and therapeutic response in rare pulmonary diseases and severe asthma.
Dr. Casini graduated in Medicine and specialized in Cardiology at the University of Siena. He worked at the Cardiology Department of USL in Montepulciano and Val d’Elsa, and at the Cath Lab and Invasive Cardiology Unit of the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Senese. He currently carries out cardiology clinical-instrumental outpatient activities.
Dr. Chillemi graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Messina and specialized in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University of Perugia. He worked at the Department of Osteoarticular Infections of Codivilla Putti Institute in Cortina and at the Orthopedic Institute of Policlinico Gemelli Foundation in Rome. Dr. Chillemi focuses on prosthetic surgery (hip, knee and shoulder), sports trauma (ligament and joint reconstructions, hip, knee, ankle and shoulder arthroscopy), foot surgery and muscle-tendon surgery.
Dr. Fantacci graduated in Motor Sciences and specialized in Sports Science and Technique with a final dissertation on “Metabolic Syndrome and Metabolic Fitness”. He is a certified massophysiotherapist enrolled in the Board of Medical Radiology Technicians of Siena. He has a Diploma in Osteopathy at SIOTEMA in Florence. Co-founder and trainer at the Italian Society of postural function and osteopathy in dental practice (SIOOP).
A psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist, Dr. Leonardi studied clinical neuropsychology in children and adults during her postgraduate training. She works as a consultant in several private hospitals in the Bologna area and with the University of Bologna. She currently focuses on the assessment and treatment in psychotherapy and neuropsychology, and on specific research studies in the hospital setting.
Dr. Mannucci graduated in Biological Sciences at the University of Perugia, where from 1993 to 2012 she conducted research in the field of oncohematology at the Department of Internal Medicine and Oncological Sciences. She obtained her PhD in Oncology after a four-year course managed by the University of Perugia and the European Institute of Oncology of Milan. Since 2013, she has developed and attended nutritional education and prevention programs as part of the “SmartFood” Nutrition and Communication Science program of the European Institute of Oncology of Milan. She currently coordinates the nutritional programs at UPMC Institute for Health Chianciano Terme. Her scientific activity is documented by 50 papers published in peer-reviewed journals and by numerous chapters in national and international books.
Dr. Marignetti graduated in Medicine at Sapienza University of Rome and specialized in Radiodiagnostics at the Università Cattolica del S.C. Policlinico A. Gemelli of Rome. He has worked at Policlinico Umberto I Hospital in Rome and at the SUMAI outpatient clinics. A former medical assistant at the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori Regina Elena in Rome and staff physician at Ospedali Riuniti della Valdichiana in Montepulciano. He is the co-author of many scientific publications.
Dr. Mellone graduated in Medicine at the University of Florence and specialized in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Perugia, and in Digestive System Surgery and Surgical Digestive Endoscopy at the University of Siena. He served as regional member of the Italian Society of Digestive Endoscopy and has published numerous scientific papers in the fields of surgery and gastroenterology. Dr. Mellone has participated in numerous conferences and refresher courses in Italy and abroad, also as a speaker.
Dr. Monti graduated in Medicine at the University of Pavia, and specialized in Dermatology, Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. A researcher and later professor of Dermatology at the School of Medicine of the University of Milan, today he is director of the University Dermatology Clinic of the Istituto Clinico Humanitas.
Dr. Pansolli is specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy and she is a member of the Italian Society of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (SITCC). Her focus is individual and group psychotherapy for the treatment of eating disorders and obesity in children, adolescents and adults. A trainer in the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, certified by UMASS (Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society, University of Massachusetts, director Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn), Dr. Pansolli has conducted several Mindfulness and mindful eating programs for adults and children. She has participated in various conferences as a speaker on topics related to eating behaviors and mindfulness and mindful eating programs.
Dr. Ricciarini graduated in Medicine and specialized in Anesthesia, Critical Care Medicine and Intensive Care at the University of Siena. She has worked in post-operative intensive care, anesthesia, critical care, anesthesia and neurosurgical intensive care, anesthesia and cardiothoracic intensive care units of the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Senese.
Dr. Russo graduated in Medicine at the University of Messina and specialized in Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases at the University of Catania, and in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Florence. He completed a clinical and a research fellowship at the Division of Endocrinology of the University of Montreal, Canada, and at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute, respectively. He has been a member of the Italian Society of Osteoporosis, of the International Society for Bone and Mineral Metabolism, and of the International Society for Muscolo-skeletal and Neuronal Interactions. Speaker and teacher in numerous national and international courses and conferences. He is currently participating in a study on patients with type 2 diabetes, on “The Effect of Exercise Training on BONE quality and strength (SWEET BONE) in type 2 diabetes: an interventional program to reduce the risk of fractures”.
Dr. Sereni graduated in Medicine at the University of Siena and specialized in Medical Angiology at the University of Catania. From 1999 to 2012 he worked in -Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, and Venous Vascular Surgery, both traditional and with laser technique, ENT Surgery, Gynecological Surgery, Dermatological Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Since 2005, he is a staff physician performing consults, admissions and venous and phlebological surgery procedures. Member of the Italian Association of Skin Ulcers (AIUC), he is the author of numerous studies for the study and treatment of venous diseases, lymphedemas and diagnosis and treatment of lower limb ulcers of all kinds.
Dr. Tavella graduated in Psychology at the Università Pontificia Salesiana of Rome and specialized in psychotherapy for children and adolescents, palliative care, clinical psychology, psycho-oncology, psychological diagnosis, and psychotherapy. She has worked as a psychologist and educator for various schools and sports associations, and collaborated with the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) in Rome. She teaches rehabilitation psychology at Sapienza University of Rome and at Carlo Bo University of Urbino. She has worked at the Breast Unit of Policlinico Umberto I Hospital in Rome, where she coordinated the team of psychologists in the pediatric oncology unit.
Dr. Tirone graduated in Medicine and specialized in General Surgery at the University of Siena. He has performed over 800 bariatric surgery procedures as first operator: gastric banding, sleeve gastrectomy, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, one-anastomosis gastric bypass (or mini-gastric bypass), single-anastomosis duodeno-ileal switch (SADI-S), and has gained considerable experience in Re-Do surgery. Dr. Tirone is the author of several scientific articles and publications. He has attended numerous national conferences as speaker and moderator, also performing live bariatric surgery procedures.
Dr. Voglino graduated in Medicine and specialized in General Surgery at the University of Siena. He is a former fellow at the Oncological and Functional General Surgery Department, and surgeon at the Bariatric Surgery Unit of the Azienda Ospedaliera Universitaria Senese. He has performed approximately 1,000 surgical procedures, of which approximately 400 as first operator. He is author of numerous scientific articles and publications.
